About Us
History...
The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools began in 1990 as a volunteer organization to provide financial resources for educational enrichment over and above the daily operational needs of the Springfield Public School District. Since its inception the Foundation has raised more than $12 million to support Springfield Public Schools.

Administrative services are provided by Nancy Fazzino, Natalie Murdock and Joannah Mahnken. The office is located on the second floor of the KRAFT Administrative Center, 940 N. Jefferson, Springfield, Missouri 65802. The telephone number is 417-523-0144.

Meet the Board...
Affairs of the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools are managed by a 21-member Board of Directors. The current president is Kim Sullivan. Board members represent a variety of professions in our community. Many attended Springfield Public Schools as children and have children currently in the district. Board meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month. The Foundation is also proud of its Advisory Board which provides a wealth of volunteer support.

Fundraising...
The Foundation focuses on raising funds for the endowment, unrestricted funds for grant awards and designated funds for special projects and student scholarships. Special events are held throughout the year to build awareness as well as raise money. Major gifts are solicited from businesses and individuals. Gifts are made outright or pledged over a several-year period. The Foundaiton also encourages planned giving. Gifts may include bequests, trusts, life insurance and/or property insurance.

The mission of the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools is to raise, manage and distribute private investment to benefit the students of Springfield Public Schools.

Our vision is to promote educational excellence for every child by working with the public school system and the community.
