Funds & Scholarships
The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools is responsible for managing 58 funds which provide resources to students and public schools in Springfield.
The Foundation also manages and awards several scholarships to graduating seniors each year. These scholarships are distributed in May at recognition ceremonies and graduations. To apply for a scholarship students should see their school counselors.

Linda Luke Librarian Fund-recognizes and awards outstanding librarians
Madeline Webb Fund-provides funding for generations of talented students to participate in the music program at Fremont Elementary School
Parkview Theatre Endowment Fund-provides financial resources for the Parkview theatre department
Ralph Manley Endowed Fund-provides financial resources for educational enrichment at Parkview High School
Reed Middle School Endowed Fund-benefits Kevin Ashton's life skills class
Scott Matthews Fund-provides anti-drug and alcohol education to the Bingham Elementary School community
Springfield Youth Symphony Fund-provides funding to bring music to the lives of Springfield students and the Springfield community
Viking Endowment Fund-provides financial resources for educational enrichment at Parkview High School
Virgil V. Anderson, Jr. & Les Gritzmaker Endowed Fund-provides ongoing financial resources for students needs
WINGS (Working with Individual Needs of Gifted Students) Endowed Fund-includes two funds: Brite Fund designated for professional development and the Lampe Fund designated for student scholarships

Central Landscaping Fund-provides resources for Central High School's special education classes to beautify Central's surroundings

City Utilities Science Institute- provides educational resources and opportunities for district science teachers
Community Foundation Fund for College Application Fees-provides financial support for students who need assistance with college application fees

Reading Roundup-provides funding for needed library books for every school in the district
Safe and Sober Prom Night-raises awareness of the dangers of underage drug and alcohol use, particularly between prom season and graduation
